Handle with Care

"I started my career in care in  2005 looking after older people in the community. Sadly, the Managing Director sold the company to go and live in Spain so I decided that I would have a change in career and worked as a prison officer for three and a half years looking after young girls and boys ranging from the age of 13 years to 17 years of age, until they moved on to adult prison".

"I left the prison service in 2010 and then came to work for Handle with Care beginning as a Care Assistant before completing my NVQ 2 and then my NVQ 3 . I then became a Senior Carer and worked my days in the office and at weekends in the community".

 

"I completed my NVQ 4 whilst working in the office and then became Care Coordinator, which is the position I remain in now".

Qualifications

BTEC Higher National Diploma in Health & Social Care. Equivalent to a level 4.
